Wedding on Catalina

October 15, 1999. We were married at one of the most beautiful spots in America, if not the world Catalina Island. We had originally thought we might have the service performed in the Virgin Islands or Tahiti; but a hurricane struck St. Thomas just as we were ready to head there, and French Polynesian red tape precluded Tahiti, so Catalina became our destination almost by default. What a stroke of good fortune though. We decided later that we could not have selected a more perfect or romantic location. We invite you to look through a few shots from our album.

The House

Backyard as seen from the DeckThis album contains a few shots of our new place. They're primarily exterior photos because . . . well . . . we didn't feel like straightening up inside just for this . It's a 4 bedroom ranch built in 1989 with 2 1/2 baths, nice family room with a fireplace (this is a first for me and I like it a lot), a deck that we spent a lot of time on in the summer, and a backyard full of lush, tropical plants. It also feels like we're living in the middle of a citrus orchard. We have 1 grapefruit, 1 lemon and 6 orange trees in our own yard; and the neighbors on either side of us and across the street are commercial orange growers, so the foliage pretty much surrounds us.

Hawai'i Property

Eden Roc Lots

Currently, there aren't too many images in this album. At the time most of them were taken, Eden Roc Estates was just one of a number of Big Island subdivisions we were investigating and these lots were among several within Eden Roc we were considering for purchase. On subsequent trips, I plan to add considerably more photos; both of the land itself and the immediate neighborhood. Hopefully I'll also be able to post construction pics when we get to that point.
